Anatech Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization. All contributions made through our website are voluntary donations directed toward our education and community development programs. This policy governs donation refunds and cancellations. |
All payments made to Anatech Foundation — whether as one-time donations, recurring monthly contributions, child sponsorships, or program-specific gifts — are charitable donations and not payments for goods or services.
Donations are used directly to fund our education programs, learning kits, mentorship activities, and community initiatives. Once a donation is received and allocated toward program activities, it cannot typically be reversed.
As a matter of principle, Anatech Foundation does not offer refunds on completed charitable donations. This is in line with standard practice among registered non-profit organizations in India and is consistent with the irrevocable nature of charitable gifting.
However, we recognize that genuine errors and exceptional circumstances can arise. We are committed to handling such situations with fairness, empathy, and transparency.
We will review and consider refund requests in the following situations:
3.1 Duplicate or Accidental Transactions
If you were charged more than once for the same donation due to a technical error, payment gateway failure, or accidental double submission, we will investigate and refund the duplicate amount promptly upon verification.
3.2 Unauthorized Transactions
If a donation was made without your knowledge or authorization (for example, due to unauthorized use of your payment credentials), please notify us immediately. We will work with you and our payment partners to investigate and, if verified, process a full refund.
3.3 Technical or Processing Errors
If a technical failure resulted in an incorrect amount being charged, or if the transaction was not completed but a deduction was made from your account, we will issue a refund for the erroneously charged amount after verification with our payment gateway partner.
3.4 Requests Within 7 Days (Discretionary)
If you contact us within 7 days of making a donation and provide a genuine reason for your request, we will review it on a case-by-case basis. Refunds under this provision are at the sole discretion of Anatech Foundation’s management and are not guaranteed.
We encourage donors to reflect on their decision before contributing. Once a donation has been allocated to an ongoing program or beneficiary, a refund will not be possible even within 7 days.
Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:
5.1 How to Cancel a Recurring Donation
Donors who have set up a recurring (monthly or annual) donation may cancel their subscription at any time before the next scheduled debit date. To cancel, please:
Cancellations must be requested at least 3 business days before your next scheduled debit date to be effective for that billing cycle. We cannot guarantee cancellation of a payment that is already being processed.
5.2 Refund of Already-Processed Recurring Payments
Once a recurring payment has been successfully processed and the funds have been received, it is treated as a completed donation and the general refund policy (Section 2) applies. Future instalments can be cancelled, but past instalments are not eligible for refund unless there was a technical or unauthorized transaction.
If you have enrolled in a child sponsorship program, you may cancel future payments at any time by contacting us in advance. Funds already received and deployed for a sponsored child’s education, meals, or materials cannot be refunded, as these commitments are made to the child and their family.
We encourage sponsors to consider the emotional and practical impact on the child before discontinuing sponsorship mid-year. Our team will reach out to help you find an alternative arrangement if needed.
Donations to Anatech Foundation may be eligible for deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Tax receipts are issued after successful payment.
Please note: If a refund is approved and processed, the corresponding tax receipt or 80G certificate will be considered void. It is the donor’s responsibility to update their tax records accordingly. We recommend consulting a tax advisor before requesting a refund if a certificate has already been issued.

We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days and aim to resolve it within 10 business days of receiving all required information.
Approved refunds will be processed through the original payment method used at the time of donation. The time taken for the amount to reflect in your account will depend on your bank or payment provider and typically takes 5 to 10 business days after our confirmation.
Anatech Foundation does not bear any bank charges, transaction fees, or currency conversion costs that may be deducted by the payment gateway during the refund process.
If your donation was made through a third-party fundraising platform, crowdfunding portal, or corporate giving program, the refund policy of that respective platform may apply. Please contact them directly for such requests. Anatech Foundation is not responsible for donations processed outside of our official website.
